Good fragrance should linger. Empty candle jars shouldn’t.

Robin Returns is our candle-jar return scheme, created to give our containers another chance to be reused or responsibly recycled.

Return six eligible Robin in the Room candle jars and receive 50% off one candle as a thank-you.

How Robin's Return Works

1. Join the Scheme

Opt in to Robin Returns when placing your candle order.

Once you have purchased your sixth eligible candle while opted in, we’ll include a return box with that order.

Keep the box somewhere safe until your six candle jars are ready to come home to us.

2. Enjoy Your Candles

Burn and enjoy your candles as normal, following the care and safety instructions provided.

There is no time limit for collecting your six empty jars. Whether it takes a few months or considerably longer, your jars will still be eligible.

3. Prepare Your Empty Jars

Once you have six eligible jars, make sure they are:

Completely extinguished and fully cooled
Empty of any remaining loose wax
Free from matches, wick trimmings and other debris
Reasonably clean
Undamaged and safe to post

You do not need to make them spotless. We’ll take care of the final cleaning—nobody needs to spend their evening wrestling candle wax with a butter knife.

Please do not return jars that are cracked, badly chipped or otherwise unsafe to handle.

4. Contact Us

When your six jars are packed and ready, email:

Please include:

Your full name
The email address used for your orders
Your most recent order number, where possible
Confirmation that you have six jars ready to return

We’ll then arrange and send you a prepaid postage label.

5. Send the Jars Back

Pack all six jars carefully inside the return box we supplied and attach the postage label.

Please follow the return instructions we provide and make sure the parcel is securely sealed before posting it.

The postage label is provided for one return parcel containing six eligible jars.

6. Receive Your Reward

Once we have received and checked your six returned jars, we’ll send you a discount code for:

50% off one Robin in the Room candle

The code can be used on one eligible full-price candle through our website.

Any delivery charge will still apply unless your order qualifies for free UK delivery.

Which Jars Can Be Returned?

Robin Returns currently accepts empty candle jars originally purchased from Robin in the Room.

Each return must contain six eligible jars.

We cannot accept:

Jars from other brands
Reed diffuser or room-spray bottles
Wax melt packaging
Cracked, shattered or dangerously damaged jars
Jars containing a significant amount of wax
Jars contaminated with substances other than their original candle wax

Do I Need to Remove the Labels?

No. You may leave the Robin in the Room labels attached.

Please remove any unrelated stickers, decorations or materials that you added after purchase where reasonably possible.

What Happens to the Returned Jars?

Returned jars will be inspected and, where suitable, cleaned for reuse.

Any jars that cannot be safely reused will be handled or recycled as responsibly as reasonably possible.

Because safety comes first, we cannot guarantee that every individual jar will be reused.

Is Return Postage Free?

Yes. Once you tell us that your six jars are ready, we’ll arrange a prepaid postage label for the return.

The supplied label must be used only for an eligible Robin Returns parcel.

What Happens if I Lose the Return Box?

A replacement box or additional packaging may not always be provided free of charge, so please keep the original return box somewhere safe.

Can I Return More Than Six Jars?

Each Robin Returns reward is based on a set of six jars.

Please contact us before sending more than six so we can confirm how they should be packed and returned.

Do not send additional jars without arranging this with us first.

Using Your Discount

Your Robin Returns discount:

Gives you 50% off one eligible candle
Is issued after six jars have been received and accepted
Cannot be exchanged for cash
Cannot normally be combined with another discount code
Cannot be applied retrospectively to an order already placed
Is intended for the customer who completed the return

Unless we state otherwise, the discount applies to the candle price only and does not include optional extras, delivery charges or other products.

Important Information

Robin Returns is a voluntary reward scheme and is separate from our Returns and Refunds Policy.

It does not replace your rights if a product is faulty, damaged, unsafe or not as described.

We may update, pause or withdraw the scheme in the future where reasonably necessary. Any reward already earned through an accepted jar return will still be honoured in accordance with the terms in place when the return was completed.
